Self-Defense Instructor and Martial Artist William Tresten has close to 20 years of experience in the industry. As a former USAF Combatives Instructor and an ABR Instructor for 5.11 - wanted to design a series of blades that were incredibly tough, versatile, reliable in a moments notice. But in order to bring this idea to life he was going to need a little help.

Tim has been a police officer for over 20 years, and makes some the best kydex holsters in the industry. Comfortable, durable, and weapon retention that is second to none. His police and holster expertise made him a prime candidate for making these premium knife sheaths.

After spending months looking for candidates to turn these designs into fully functional blades, Forged in Fire Champion Guy Harris rose to the top of the list. With over 10 years experience working with D2 alone, as well as countless custom blade projects over the years - Guy brings a vast wealth of knowledge and experience when making a truly exceptional blade.

Bringing the skills and expertise together - Tresten Knives was born! Creating blades not just for military and law enforcement - but for the concerned citizen as well. Blades that are no nonsense, can be rapidly deployed, and can stand up to the toughest conditions.

Fast forward to Texas Winter Storm of 2020, our beloved blade master Guy Harris unexpectedly passed away.. The good Lord had called Guy home, and he will forever be remembered and missed. With Guy gone, Tresten Knives was faced with closing it's doors for good. Instead of folding up shop, William stepped up and became the blade smith to keep Tresten Knives alive. With little knowledge that Guy was able to pass on, William taught himself how to make them. Through hard work, many mistakes, and God's Grace - William continues to bring the best D2 knives on the market that money can buy!
